PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project will address cooling system deficiencies and lack of cooling redundancy at the Rampart Range Campus. The existing chiller is original to the building construction in 1998 making it 20+ years old and past its functional lifespan. The project will include removal of the existing Trane chiller and replacement with a new magnetic bearing chiller. The project will also include installation of a new, redundant cooling system to include chiller, pumps, piping, controls, and electrical associated with the redundant chiller. Further, the project will include replacement of the existing evaporator pump, addition of redundant evaporator and condenser pumps and integration of all new equipment into the Johnson Controls building automation system. The existing condenser pump is 3 years old and is not in need of replacement, but if design should require its replacement, it should be included in the scope. All equipment, demolition, electrical, controls, piping and plumbing to be included in the scope of this project. Mandatory Pre-submittal Conference: To ensure sufficient information is available to firms preparing submittals, a mandatory pre-submittal conference has been scheduled. The intent of this conference is to tour the site and to have Pikes Peak State College staff available to discuss the project. Firms preparing submittals must attend and sign-in in order to have their submittals accepted.
