Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hobart, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work: Maintenance of traffic, excavation, installation of storm sewers, backfilling, grading, installation of curb and gutter, pavement, grass and landscape restoration, pavement markings and directional signs, and all other related work and appurtenances for the construction of 82nd Avenue. The Project has an expected duration of 90 days. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Contractor will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. The Bidding and Contract Documents, including Bidders Procedure Checklist for Construction Services, Official Notice to Bidders, Instructions to Bidders, Bid Proposal Form, Form of Bid Bond, Agreement, Form of Performance Bond, Form of Payment Bond, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specifications, Drawings and Addenda, if any, may be examined at the following locations: Administrative Offices City of Hobart Clerk-Treasurer's Office 414 Main Street Hobart, IN 46342 engineer's Office 2421 173rd Street Hammond, IN 46323 (219) 844-8680 Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check on a solvent bank or trust company, drawn to the order of the City of Hobart Board of Public Works & Safety, or an acceptable Bid Bond, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid for the Project. This sum is a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Bid security of all excepting the three lowest, responsive, responsible Bidders will be returned within thirty (30) days after the opening of bids. Any Bidder whose Bid security has been retained may, after thirty (30) days from the opening of Bids, request return of his Bid security provided he has not been notified of acceptance of his Bid. The Bid security of the successful Bidder will not be returned until Bidder delivers the required signed contract and Performance Bond. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled time for the opening of Bids or authorized postponement thereof. However, no Bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for opening, unless agreed to by the OWNER. The award of the contract will be made by the OWNER. In determining who is the lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder, the OWNER will consider the Bid, and all other relevant facts or matters mentioned in the Contract Documents or which the City of Hobart Board of Public Works & Safety may legally consider in determining the lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder. The City of Hobart Board of Public Works & Safety reserves the right, after all Bids have been examined and tabulated, to waive any informalities and insubstantial defects in any Bid; to accept the Bid which it deems to be the lowest, responsive, and responsible; and to reject any and all of the Bids received. All Bid awards are made subject to an appropriate contract being finalized between the City of Hobart Board of Public Works & Safety and the winning Bidder.
