STATEMENT OF WORK Project Number: 671-23-100 Purchase & Install Dimplex Chiller on Ground Level South Texas Veterans Healthcare System (STVHCS) 7400 Merton Minter Blvd SAN ANTONIO, TX 78229 Acquisition Title: Install Dimplex Chiller on ground level, Project No. 671-23-100 Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete all required project work in accordance with the provided SOW, Specifications, and Drawings. Project is located at the Audie L. Murphy VAMC. This is a "Competitive" requirement Set Aside 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Method of this procurement will be Invitation for Bid (IFB). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238210 ($16.5 Mil) Magnitude of the Construction Project: $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 Pre-Bid Site Visit shall be held on October 06, 2022 @ 09:00am CDT. All interested Contractors shall meet at Bldg #1, Main Hospital, ground level, Engineering Service, Room E006, Audie L. Murphy 7400 Merton Minter Blvd San Antonio, Tx. All Contractors attending the Pre-Bid Site Visit may be required to be COVID Screened to enter the facility. Please ensure you arrive early to allow enough time to go through screening. Face Masks and picture ID is required. Cut off for submission of RFI(s)/Questions shall be October 12, 2022 @ 1000am CDT. Award of a contract as a result of this solicitation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment of this contract may be made. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the Government for contract purposes until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer. The Contracting Officer will confirm availability of funds prior to award of a contract TOTAL PROJECT DURATION for Base Bid: 270 Calendar days from issuance of the Notice PROJECT OVERVIEW Purpose The purpose of this project is to replace the current Heat Exchanger located in the mechanical room # Z104.4 first floor of the main hospital and replace it with a Dimplex Model: WO2-2-7500-2P-NF-L-M407C 120 AMB 460V 802581, Part # 802581, purchase by the vendor. See attached quote. 1.2 Background Currently the GE MRI is using a heat exchanger that gets its chilled water from the University Hospital. The filters for the heat exchanger are constantly being replace so we are replacing the heat exchanger with a Dimplex Chiller. SCOPE OF WORK 2.1 General Provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools and equipment, supervision, and construction services necessary for site preparation, demolition, alterations, of the existing Spinal Cord Injury Center (SCIC) canopy and certain other items necessary for installation of a new Dimplex Chiller. Strict noise and infection control measures shall be followed. Existing life safety systems within the Main Hospital, building 1 shall not be impaired at any time during the performance of the work. 2.1.1 Work Shall Include: General Construction: The contractor will determine if the Spinal Cord Injury Center canopy is structurally sound to hold the weight of the Dimplex Chiller. If the canopy will not support the weight, then reinforcement of the canopy will be required. The contractor will de-install the heat exchanger located in the Z104.4 Mechanical room. This will include removing conduit and chilled water lines back to the source. The Contractor cannot remove said heat exchanger until all connections for the Dimplex Chiller are in place and fully tested and operational. At this time the deinstallation of the heat exchanger can begin. The Contractor shall haul demoed items off to a dumpster which will be located on site. Field verifying all circuits and panels used to power the Dimplex Chiller. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
