Approximately 6 inches of aggregate will need to be excavated at each location to allow for concrete placement to match specified elevations. Aggregate base shall be compacted prior to concrete placement. Excavated aggregate may be placed around final slab to create an apron. 4. The minimum compressive strength of the slab concrete shall be 4,500 psi. Air entrainment shall be 5 to 7 percent. 5. The slabs shall be 6 inches thick, minimum. Welded wire fabric (6x6 - 2.9Wx2.9W) shall be placed at mid-depth within the slabs. The WWF shall be placed on chairs that are properly spaced to support the WWF. All sawing shall be completed within 16 hours after placement. 8. The slab shall have a lightly broom finish in a direction parallel to the parking slabs.
