University of Akron is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Electrical Power Supply as described in Attachment University of Akron Elect-REC RFP. NOTE: All questions and correspondences MUST go through the purchasing bidding tool online. Bidders are not to contact University departments directly, in person, by telephone or by email concerning this RFP. All contact and questions regarding this RFP shall be directed through online as described in Section 3 of this Request for Proposal - Summary. All questions or concerns should be sent no later than 4:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on September 23, 2022. It is anticipated that the contract term for contract(s) awarded resulting from this solicitation, if any, will extend for one or more years up to a total of five (5) years. Further, University reserves the right to extend the contract term on one or more years, not to exceed three (3) years upon the expiration of the initial term and any successive renewal term. University seeks proposals to cover select electrical power supply requirements commencing on November 1st, 2022 and May 1, 2023. The Universitys preference is that the electrical power supply requirements of select University owned, leased or operated facilities will be satisfied by the outcome of this RFP process. A list of all University properties covered by this RFP is provided through Attachment No. 4 - Meter List. The successful supplier will supply full load requirements for each facility behind each listed meter. Actual consumption data from Ohio Edison is also provided for each meter in Excel format through Attachment No. 5 - Meter Data.
Proposed electrical power supply contract services shall comply with the terms and conditions specified in Attachment No. 1 - General Terms and Conditions, and the balance of this RFP. Any exceptions to the General Terms and Conditions shall be clearly stated. The University may choose to conduct periodic review meetings with the successful Proposer. Any resulting contract may be awarded for a period between one and five years, with options to extend as indicated in Section 4 of Request for Proposals - Summary. The contract shall commence November 1st, 2022 or May 1, 2023.
