Reference Number: AB-2022-05523 The primary goal of this masterplan is to create a strategy for development and continued maintenance of trails in the community to connect neighbourhoods, parks and important landmarks via a safe and inclusive trail network along with the beautification of the network. The successful proponent will create a framework involving stakeholder/community engagement via online surveys, geographical information, and environmental protection. Maintenance and replacement estimates and schedules should be determined to outline required annual investment toward infrastructure replacement and upkeep based on life span. Maintenance should incorporate items such as crack sealing, weeding/mowing and snow and ice removal. This will be used to establish a clear vision for the linear trails and beautification program moving forward as well as budget forecasting. The plan should focus on the community as a whole and incorporate the downtown as well as the highway corridor to improve the City's ability to attract tourism as well as provide a useable active transportation network. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
