METHUEN MASSACHUSETTS INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) is requesting bids from qualified vendors for Removal and Installation of Cooling Pumps at Timony Grammar School, 45 Pleasant View St., Methuen, MA 01844. A contract shall be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder offering the lowest price for the services specified in IFB23.04. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of CASH, CERTIFIED CHECK, or BID BOND issued by a responsible bank or trust company licensed to do business in the State of Massachusetts in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid. The awarded vendor will require a Payment Bond of an amount equal to 50% of the total amount of the bid with a surety company satisfactory to the City of Methuen, as surety, will be required for the faithful payment for all labor and materials used in the work. Such bonds shall be prepared by and supplied by a surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If the bid price is over $150,000 a performance and payment bond of 100% of the total bid price will be required. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) workdays after the date set for the opening thereof. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive. The bidding and award of this contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39S.
