The City of Irvine is requesting proposals to establish a contract for SENIORS STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOPMENT, with work to commence on or about January 2023 (subject to funding) and be completed on June 2023. The City reserves the right to extend the contract for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods. Scope of Services in accordance with ATTACHMENT I, attached hereto. Background: The City of Irvine encompasses 66 square miles and is the 13th largest city in California and second largest in Orange County with a population of more than 310,000 residents. The City is recognized as one of the nation's largest master-planned communities offering a variety of services to its ethnically diverse residents. Services provided are guided in part by various City plans. The City of Irvine's Senior Services Strategic Plan Update for Fiscal Years 2018-19 through 2022-23 (Plan Update) serves as a guide for the development and provision of resources, services, and activities for Irvine residents ages 50 and older. The Plan Update builds directly upon the City's first Senior Services Strategic Plan 2012-2017. City services for older adults are provided primarily out of Irvine's three dedicated centers: Lakeview Senior Center, Rancho Senior Center, and Trabuco Center.
