Clarification Deadline 9/26/2022 10:00 AM Skyline Drive Overlook Clearing for the City of Reading, Pennsylvania, as per specifications on file in the Office of the Purchasing Coordinator. The Contractor shall remove all trees and large underbrush as identified by the City of Reading. All logs, branches and limbs shall be removed by the Contractor. Tree stump shall be cut as close to the ground as possible in accordance with the instructions of the City of Readings representative. It is the intent of the City of Reading to enter into a contract with a properly equipped and qualified company for clear cutting of all trees and large underbrush at the three (3) observation overlooks. There will be no pre-bid meeting for this project. Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal. A certified check or bid bond will be accepted. Attention is called to the fact that Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage rates must be paid by the contractor and that employees shall not be discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex or national origin. The City of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to accept or reject any part of a bid, as may be in the public interest.
