As of September 29, 2023, an engineer has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Board of County Commissioners of Esmeralda County, State of Nevada is inviting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing engineering services related to the design and construction administration of approximately 620 lineal feet of 8-inch gravity sewer pipe and the investigation, design, and construction administration of improvements to the backwash solids settling process at the existing Goldfield arsenic treatment plant. The proposal must be in a SEALED envelope marked RESPONSE TO RFQ/GOLDFIELD CLEAN WATER PROJECT/ARSENIC TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS. Interviews may be conducted with the final two selected Engineering candidates. The selected engineering firms will be notified of the time and date of the interview. It is anticipated that from this solicitation a fixed rate contract will be negotiated for the proposed project. This request does not commit the Board of County Commissioners to pay any cost incurred in the preparation or submission of the qualifications nor to procure a contract for any service or supply. It is brought to your attention that the Board of County Commissioners is the only entity which can legally commit expenditure of funds in connection with this proposed contract. All qualifications will be evaluated entirely upon their technical content and completeness. This project is financed in whole or in part by the Nevada State Revolving Fund and this request is due to requirements of that funding agency. Your proposal should be signed by an official, authorized to bind the offer and/or should contain a statement to the effect the proposal is firm for a period of not less than sixty (60) days after the closing of this RFQ.
