Renovation of a municipal facility in Beech Island, South Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of 10/4/2022, this project has been canceled. It is undetermined at this time if this bid will be resolicited. Aiken County Government is soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors to remove and replace two check valves for Aiken County Public Service Authority located at 70 PSA Road Beech Island, SC 29842. Scope of work: 1. Remove Two Henry Pratt Valve Assemblies, size 30", length 46 1/4 " flange to flange, 250 PSI, replacing with Two Valmatic Surge Buster check valves, size 30", length 56 1/4 " flange to flange, 250 PSI. 2. Demo two concrete poured in place bolsters cradling pipe and install two new concrete poured in place bolsters cradling pipe due to ARV location on existing piping, new valve is 10" longer. 3. Shorten existing spool assembly by 10" and apply new sealing gaskets. 4. Only one valve may be done at a time to facilitate operations. 5. Aiken county will remove electrical and supply air from old valve assemblies, new valves do not have electrical or supply air. 6. Disposal of old valve assemblies will be at the ACPSA. 7. Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, equipment and materials necessary to remove and install new valves and concrete supports Questions concerning this bid must be emailed to procurement@aikencountysc.gov before 3:00 p.m. September 27, 2022. The Questions and Answers (Q&A) will be posted to the Aiken County website before 5:00 p.m. September 29, 2022. Phone calls will not be accepted.
