The project is expected to be awarded later this month* The Nevada County Purchasing Agent on behalf of Facilities Management is accepting sealed bids at 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City, CA 95959, until the hour of 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. The scope of work to include but not limited to the renovation of existing retail space into a public library/Sheriff Department sub-station. Work generally defined as demolition of existing interior space and renovation of all surfaces. Install new interior and exterior doors and hardware, including ADA automatic door openers. Interior walls with built in bench seating to include cushions. Three ADA compliant restrooms. Saw cut concrete slab for plumbing and electrical where required. Install new plumbing waste lines, water lines and fixtures. HVAC system, new roof mounted heat pumps, ducting, supply and return plenums. Upgrade all electrical to include Acuity Brands Night Controls. Replace existing ceiling tiles with new. New carpet, sheet vinyl, laminate, base, specialty wall finishes, cabinets and bookshelves. ADA van accessible concrete parking, path of travel, truncated domes, striping and signage. Fire alarm, burglar alarm, Mirasys camera system with 365 days of storage capability and install County provided Bibliotheca Open Plus card access system. Contractor's B license is required. The County will not be providing printed copies of the plans to bidders for this project.
