At said time, said proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the office of the Hancock County Commissioners and tabulated. The award of the contract will be made to the lowest and best bidder; however only those proposals (bids) from contractors that are determined to be qualified with experience in the construction Gas Collection and Control Systems and/or similar facilities will be considered.THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF CONSTRUCTING LATERAL GAS COLLECTION TRENCHES AND CONNECTION OF THE NEW CONSTRUCTION TO ESISTING INFRASTRUCTURE. LOCATION: The location of the Work to be performed is at the Hancock County Solid Waste Landfill Facility, 3763 CR 140, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Bids shall conform to and be responsive to the Contract Documents for the work. Copies of the Bidding Documents will be open to public inspection during business hours in the office of the Hancock County Landfill.Bids mailed to: Hancock County Board of Commissioners 300 S Main Street Findlay, Ohio 45840 (Attention: UNIT 2, PHASE 2 GCCS Construction Project) Each bid shall be submitted on the bid form furnished as part of the Bidding Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by all documents and other items required by the Bidding Documents. Bidders should carefully review the Bidding Documents to determine what must accompany the bid. Each bid shall be sealed and delivered to the County at the location designated in this notice for the opening of proposals at or before the time and date in this notice. Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 4115.03 et seq., the Board of commissioners has obtained a determination of the general prevailing wage of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and ove rtime work in the locality in which said work is to be performed for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed. Not less than the determined rates shall be paid to all workers employed in the performance of the contract. Such rates of wages are on file with the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations and provided in the contract Documents . Any addenda or bulletins included in the Bidding Documents or issued prior to 72 hours before the bid opening shall be covered in the bid and shall be made a part of the Contract. The Gas Collection and Control System is designed and must be constructed in accordance with the strict requirements of the Ohio EPA s Solid Waste Permit, and the Contract Documents. Bidders, by submitting their bid, acknowledge and agree to the terms of the Bidding Documents, including those provisions pertaining to the selection of the successful bidder (Contractor).
