BID PROPOSALS for preparation and coating of Whitehouse Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation (2,000,000 Gallons), and appurtenances Scope of Work: Sand Blast and paint interior/exterior surfaces of one 2,000,000 gallon elevated storage tank (Whitehouse Drive) o In accordance with the attached inspection report the following items must be completed: o Sealing anode plates (part of the cathodic protection system). o Replace the vent screen with 16-gauge fine mesh screen. o Replace corroded rungs on the access ladder. o Placing "confined space entry" labels on all manways. o Tank must be shrouded. All blasting and overspray must be contained. Disposal of sand and paint chips will be the responsibility of the contractor. o Repaint existing logo. o All requirements of the TCEQ and AWWA must be followed. o Provide alternate bid items for new Cathodic Protection System in accordance with AWWA D104 and providing patch and pit repairs. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or to reject any or all bids. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. Cash currency is not acceptable as bid surety and is not to be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening
