The Arkansas Department of Corrections, Division of Community Correction is soliciting responses from interested General Contractor to provide services for the Expansion and Renovations to the White River Correctional Center at 105 County Yard Rd. in Batesville, Arkansas, DBA Project Number 4852301 pursuant to ACA -4-1415, Alternative Delivery of method of contracting and the Arkansas Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria. The Division of Community Correction is seeking qualified General Contractors for pre-construction professional services and construction of an Expansion to the existing White River Correctional Center in Batesville Arkansas. The project will include site work, selective demolition, interior renovation to approximately 14,500 sf of the existing facility and cell areas, security door controls, and security camera system. The new addition will include a new kitchen, dining room, laundry, medical area, rec yard, commissary and a new dormitory style detention housing unit and dayrooms. Wage Rates shall not apply to this project. The State encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit proposals for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formalities.
