PROJECT OVERVIEW: The County of York, Virginia (Owner) is seeking the services of a qualified contractor to construct sidewalk, pedestrian crossings and related improvements along three locations in York County: Area 1 - Merrimac Trail and Penniman Road; Area 2 - Old Williamsburg Road; and Area 3 - Big Bethel Road. The project will consist of, but not be limited to, installing approximately 2,918 SY of concrete sidewalk and related infrastructure including sidewalk drains, solar powered rectangular rapid flashing beacons, pedestrian push button signals, storm drain pipes, curb and gutter, CG-12 ramps, demolition and full depth reconstruction of a portion of existing roadway, regrading of roadside drainage, all labor, traffic control, materials, mobilization, testing, and incidentals necessary to construct the project.
