Renovation of a water / sewer project in Baraga, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Replacement of ferric chloride chemical storage tanks, concrete vactor truck dump pad, and miscellaneous improvements, as detailed in the Contract Documents. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids will be based on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is U.P. Engineers & Architects, Inc. 100 Portage Street, Houghton, MI 49931, (906) 482-4810. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Financing for this project is being provided by a MDARD Grant, which requires approval by its representatives of all Contracts, attachments, and similar documents, all partial and final payments, and all change orders. Davis Bacon wage rates are required for this project. Contractor must conform with all conditions of employment and requirements of federal prevailing wage rates, Segregated Facility, Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, Section 109 and Equal Opportunity. The Contractor must comply with the minimum rates for wages for laborers and mechanics as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the provisions of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts.
