Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
In general, the Contract involves the competitive solicitation of sidewalks, curbs, and driveway modifications to Aldi at 561 Gateway Avenue. Bids will be based on a "lump sum" bid, materials included. Work associated with this Contract shall be conducted between October 17, 2022 and November 18, 2022. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. A Proposal Bond in the amount of 10% of the estimated bid price is required. A performance and payment bond or certified check each in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder after the contract is awarded. The Contract will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry. A non-collusion affidavit is required for this Bid Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, the Borough and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty) Contractor shall pay the Borough One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each calendar day.
