Site work for a water / sewer project in Lac La Belle, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project was awarded to Musson Brothers in the amount of $327,704.91 This project involves streambank stabilization along approximately 1,000 lineal feet of stream at the Club at Lac La Belle golf course in the Village of Lac La Belle. Banks will be re-graded and stabilized with either riprap, or native plantings and erosion matting. Contractors should have previous experience with native planting restoration projects. The project must be completed within a 2 month period starting at November 1, when the golf course has closed down for the year. This Work involves stabilizing the existing Golf Course Stream, stream banks by re-shaping the bank and completing one of three different restoration practices. One cross section is placing field stone at or below the ordinary high water level to provide added stability and provide more manageable bank side slopes on outside bends of the stream, some of which are currently eroded with vertical banks. The second option re-shapes bank slopes and would be restored with new topsoil, a combination of native plant and grass plugs and mulch and erosion matting. Most areas will also have a straw wattle, or coir log added to the bank to provide added erosion control and provide a barrier for the added topsoil, plugs and mulch. Areas outside the stream bank slope will also be restored with native seed and matting to provide stabilization and added aesthetics. A third cross section involves the installation of Insta-Turf TRM along the streambank in the vicinity of the fairway for Hole #14 of the golf course. A fourth cross-section is the streambank directly adjacent to the green for Hole #14, where the slope is quite steep and will be stabilized with field stone and fescue grass. All disturbed are will be restored, including any temporary haul roads, or existing gravel drives. Existing concrete golf cart paths must be protected with metal plates (incidental to project cost).
