As of February 8, 2024, per owner, a design team and general contractor have been identified. Phase II will begin Summer 2024. Construction began June 2022. In June 2022, the Medford School District (the District) was awarded a Seismic Rehabilitation Grant through the Infrastructure Finance Authority: Business Oregon. As part of this grant, preliminary rehabilitation feasibility reports and cost estimates shall be used to ensure the project is in compliance with grant requirements. These documents will be included in the RFP. The District is seeking proposals for the architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical design for the Seismic Rehabilitation of Jacksonville Elementary School located at 655 Hueners Lane, Jacksonville, OR 97530. The District intends to use the typical Construction Manager/General Contractor procurement method for this project. Pre-Design/Schematic Design would begin immediately upon award to produce the design documents needed for a CM/GC selection process by February of 2023. Construction is anticipated to start in June of 2023, with Phase I of the Project being completed by September 1, 2023. The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give its instate bidders and (3) to reject for good cause any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive any formalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever its is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in its best interest. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
