Ohio University Campus Steam System Repairs - Water Softener Tanks Question Cutoff Date: 11/21/2022 08:00 AM (CT) Ohio University Athens Campus Steam System Repairs - 2023. Water Softener Tanks Water Softeners and Condensate Polishers. 1. Materials of construction for all parts addressed in this Section. Indicate pressure and temperature rating for all components. 2. Drawings indicating dimensions, weights, materials of construction, and connection locations and types. Indicate vessel rating. Supplier shall Provide two (2) replacement water softener tanks, fabricated to match the original tanks. Orientation of attachments and appurtenances shall be per the original fabrication drawings which are included with this Specification. CONSTRUCTION A. Vessels 1. Vertical tanks with hemispherical ends. Vessels shall have threaded openings for pipe connection sizes 2 NPS and under and flanged connections for 2-1/2 NPS and above. Each vessel shall have a 12" x 16" manway in the shell portion where shown on the Contract Drawings. In addition, provide a 4" x 6" handhole in the lower side shell and wherever necessary to support maintenance of the vessel including resin and internal component replacement. 2. For each vessel, provide four angle-type support legs with mounting holes permanently welded to the lower tank head and rated for seismic design category C, component
