Renovation of a water / sewer project in Ashland, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Ashland Wastewater Utility is accepting bids to perform necessary repairs to their Huber Stepscreen. A site visit to assess the needed repairs will be required prior to bidding. The scope of work is to include all necessary repairs to the mechanical screen as well as the Rotomat Waschpresse (screw press) to the extent that they perform per factory specs. The proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished with the specifications. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the owner equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal or a bid bond of a bonding company duly authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. This proposal guarantee shall be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. Contract Documents: Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date of opening. The City of Ashland reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities herein, to reject any or all bids, and to award the Contract as deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Ashland does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability in employment or provisions of services, programs or activities. The Ashland Wastewater Utility is accepting bids to perform necessary repairs to their existing Huber Step screen, which actively serves the Utility's wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The repaired step screen is expected to remain in service as a major component in the primary treatment process. The Utility is planning future upgrades to the WWTP. Once these upgrades are implemented, the repaired step screen will be integrated as a seconday (ie back up) component. Thus, the scope of the repairs is intended to extend the service life of the existing step screen in order to reliably function in this manner. 1. Repair of an existing Step Screen manufactured by Huber Technologies.
