Renovation of a military facility in Rapid City, South Dakota. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

As of June 27, 2023, information regarding the award and award date has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to December of 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: From firms interested in providing professional Architectural and Engineering design services for the Correct Structural Deficiencies - Rapid City AASF (PN466535) project located at 4750 Guard Road, Rapid City, South Dakota 57703. The scope of work for this project is to develop construction documents for building structural repairs and renovation of existing spaces into various administrative spaces. Required services will include Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Fire Protection Engineering. Questions may be directed to the Project Manager, Kyle Roe, telephone (605) 737- 6605. A technical review committee will select the top firm based on the criteria identified above. This selection will be for the duration of the project with future scope and fee negotiations for design development, bidding services, and construction administration/inspection later should the project proceed to the various phases. Anticipated project timeline is as follows: 35% Design February 2023 65% Design June 2023 95% Design August 2023 Construction December 2023 - November 2024. Firms desiring to be considered for providing professional services for this project should send a Statement of Interest that outlines their qualifications and experience for this project. Statements of Interest should clearly address each of the following criteria: 1. Project approach and methodology to meet the project requirements (15pts); 2. Project teams specialized expertise, capabilities, and technical competence to meet the project requirements (15%); 3. Ability and proven history in handling special project constraints (Scope, Time, and Cost) (15%). 4. Proposed project management techniques. (15%); 5. Proposed QA/QC process for development of construction plans and verifying owner requirements are met. (20pts) 6. Proven knowledge of all codes, National Guard Bureau Regulations, Standards, and Criteria and the ability to integrate such codes, regulations, standards, and criteria into the construction plans and technical specifications. (20pts) 7. Ability to integrate project commissioning and commissioning requirements into the design and construction of a project. (20pts) 8. Availability to the project locale (20pts); 9. Familiarity with the project facility and site (20pts); 10. Resources available to perform the work, including any specialized services and identify their assigned roles within the project. Identified team members must maintain assigned role through the duration of the project unless otherwise approved by the owner. Include resumes of each team member's professional accomplishments and experiences with similar projects. (20%); 11. Record of past performance, including price and cost data from previous projects of similar size and scope, quality of work, ability to meet schedules, cost control, and contract administration. All projects completed with the Dept. of the Military within the last 5 years must be included. (20%). The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
