Renovation of a mixed-use development in Wheaton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of Library Learning Center Renovations at Johnson and Whittier Elementary Schools. Alternate bids are also being requested for ceiling and lighting replacement at Washington Elementary School and Additional work at Whittier Elementary School Project Name: 2023 Capital Improvements. 1. Bid security shall be payable to the Board of Education Community Unit School District 200. D.Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to: Mr. Kevin Weisenberger, Director of Facility Operations, Community Unit School District 200, 130 W. Park Avenue, Wheaton, Illinois 60189. All Bids shall be delivered to the same address. Bid opening will be immediately following at the same address. E.The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of Community Unit School District 200. F.All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works. Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws Additional digital sets and paper copies may be obtained from BHFX by any contractor at the contractors' cost. One set of bidding documents consists of 1 set of drawings, 1 Project Manual, and 1 set of bid forms. Addenda (last Addenda anticipated Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Submit all questions no later than 10:00am. Submit all questions in writing to Paul Pessetti, Legat Architects; ppessetti@legat.com. Substantial Completion shall be no later than Friday, August 4, 2023 ; The dates of Final Completion shall be no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023.
