This Contract Involves the Transportation of Sludge Only, Sludge Disposal is Not Being Considered for This Contract. All Bidders Must Comply With the General Provisions Set Forth in 25 Pa Code Paragraphs 285.211 285.217 Inclusive. Transporters Must Possess, and Provide Proof of, Necessary Insurance, and All Applicable Authorizations and Licenses From the Usepa, Padep, Pa Puc, and Icc. Each Proposal Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the Amount of Ten (10%) Percent of the Total Bid, as a Guarantee That the Bidder Will Execute the Contract and Furnish the Necessary Bonds if the Contract is Awarded to Him. This project involves the transportation of sewage sludge in bulk quantities from the Lock Haven Sewage Treatment Plant to the Wayne Township Landfill, located in Wayne Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. The Wayne Township Lanfill is located approximately six (6) miles from the Lock Haven Sewage Treatment Plant. The contract is for transportation of materials only, the bidder shall give no consideration to permitting or disposition of sludge. The sludge for disposal consists of mechanically dewatered and stabilized, aerobically digested sewage sludge from the secondary treatment of municipal and pretreated industrial sewage. The contract includes the disposal of approximately 48 tons of sludge per month.
