The City of Rock Island requests that contractors interested submit a cost schedule for the replacement of Longview Park Maintenance Garage Roof with a standing seam style metal roof. Tear off existing terracotta shingles o Replace rotted or damaged decking o Replace rotted or damaged fascia boards o Replace wood soffit panels at west overhang with new metal soffit panels o Install architectural, concealed fastened, integral standing seam metal roof system o Option for the addition of a gutter on the east side o Dispose of all removed and scrap materials o All existing gutter and downspouts are to remain in place. Materials: Roofing shall be 24 gauge or thicker standing seam style. Panels shall each run vertically the height of the roof. Baked on factory finish, color chosen by owner from selection indicated in the Materials Schedule Eave shall be an extended eve flashing with drip edge Ridge cover shall be non-vented and designed to work with the roofing installed Ridge, rake and eave flashing shall be from the same manufacturer product line, and color as the roof panels Replacement rood decking shall be 3/4 inch plywood or dimensional lumber similar in appearance and thickness as original Underlayment shall be as recommended by the manufacturer of the roofing materials Sealants shall be as recommended by the roofing manufacture All fasteners shall be as specified by the manufacturer of the roofing Installation: Installation timing shall be coordinated with the owner to avoid conflicts with schedule events. Existing roofing shall be removed down to the roof deck Roof decking shall be evaluated and replaced as agree to by owner All replaced decking shall span a minimum of three rafters The undersigned agrees to complete all work covered by this contract by: Dec 1, 2022
