Ponton, CPPB, Purchasing Office Senior at taponton@hanovercounty.gov and must be received no later than five (5) working days before the due date SCOPE OF WORK 2.1 All work performed shall be inclusive of all mobilization, supervision, labor, delivery, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, apparatus, transportation (including fuel charges), record documentation, and other associated responsibilities and requirements to provide asphalt paving and related services for new construction, improvements, general maintenance, etc. consistent with the contract and the current editions of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Road and Bridge Specifications; VDOT Road and Bridge Standards; VDOT Special Provision Copied Notes, Special Provisions, and Supplemental Specifications; VDOT Road Design; VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications and VDOT Instructional and Informational Memorandum, VDOT Drainage Manual; the Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook (VESCH): Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), VOSH Standards and regulations; and ADA Standards and requirements for all material and equipment used, and workmanship performed. The Contractor shall provide a work crew sufficient to complete the work in the most efficient manner. At a minimum, the work crew should consist of a Foreman, Paving Operator, Milling Operator, Roller, Operator, Laborer and Asphalt Raker for providing the following: A. Site examinations ("visits"), development of scopes of work ("SOW"), earthwork, site utilities and paint marking for new construction, improvements, general maintenance, repairs, etc., however preparation of design work will not be a part of the contract. B. Proper sign usage when working in public right-of-ways or where the safety of the public must be maintained. C. Coordination of all work start/completion dates and work schedules with the appropriate County staff so all work shall continue uninterrupted. The POC will communicate with the appropriate County staff when uncontrollable circumstances arise and discuss the possibility of developing an alternate schedule for approval. D. Surface preparation prior to paving. Work areas shall be swept to remove all loose debris. Cleanup shall occur daily with refuse removed from the site and, at the completion of work, all construction equipment, materials and debris shall be removed. The Contractor shall not dump materials and debris at County convenience centers and transfer stations. E. Control and confinement to designated work areas, and protect all landscape areas and plantings from damage. All paved areas shall be cleaned, repaired, and lawn areas disturbed shall be top soiled and sodded. F. ASPHALT - NEW & REPAIR METHODS: The Contractor shall be responsible for repairs to all forms of asphalt distress such as cracking, distortion, disintegration, and potholes. G.
