RFP Design - Prefabricated Park Restrooms, Concessions, and Locker Room Facilities. The City of Garden City, Kansas (City) is seeking a qualified company to provide a standard plan restroom, concessions, and locker room facilities for the city's parks, trails and athletic facilities. Garden City, Kansas, with a population of approximately 32,000 in Finney County, is approximately 200 miles west of Wichita, Kansas, and 300 miles southeast of Denver, Colorado. The City Commission, as articulated in its 2021-2022 City Commission Goals, indicated a desire to explore the potential of adding restrooms along our trail system. In addition to the City Commission's goals, the Parks and Recreation Department is exploring the replacement of existing restrooms, concessions, and locker room facilities at several locations. The ideal firm will provide a standard restroom, concessions, and/or locker room facility that could be utilized as a standard replacement of existing facilities as the need for replacement comes up and funds are allocated for purchase. The City is issuing this RFP in accordance with applicable laws that allow an agreement with a private entity that demonstrates and has proven products and experience that meets with all local, state, and federal building standards and meets the requirements of each project location. The City reserves the right to terminate this process or to cancel or modify this solicitation process at any time. At no time will the City or any of its respective agents, representatives, consultants, directors, officers, or employees be liable for or otherwise obligated to reimburse the costs incurred in the preparation of this RFP or any other related expenses. The prospective firms shall be fully responsible for all expenses incurred in the preparation and/or presentation of the RFP submittals. The RFP submittals will become the property of the City. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
