Renovation of a day care center in Nelliston, New York. Design plans call for the renovation of a day care center.

As of April 19, 2024, an engineer has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for bidding and construction has not been determined as of yet. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Architectural & Engineering Designs for Daycare Addendum Pages, if Issued, Shall Be Stapled to the Rfp Form and Submitted as Required Attached to the Original Rfp Form. Contracts: the Project May Be Constructed Using Multiple Contract Formats. The Following Contract Will Be an Rfp at This Time, and the Owner May Release Rfps for Other Prime Contracts at Other Times: Nelliston School - Architectural & Engineering Designs for Daycare Project Description: the Major Work Under This Contract Shall Consist of the Creation of Architectural and Engineering Stamped Blueprints for the Renovation of the Nelliston School for the Purposes of Creating a Childcare Center. This Contract Will Require Consultation With the Intended Tenant, Janel Hearn, as Well as Several Local and State Agencies: Including but Not Limited to: Montgomery County Business Development Center, Nys Office of Children and Family Services, Nys Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. As the Building is Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, All Efforts Will Be Made to Keep Historical Features (Both Original and Those That Have Gained Historic Significance) in Line With Policies of the State Historic Preservation Office. The Scope of Work Shall Include the Following Key Work: -- Architectural & Engineering Stamped Blueprints for Full Design of Daycare. No Equipment Will Be Provided to the Viewer at the Time of Inspection. All Necessary Tools and Equipment Should Be Brought by the Viewer to the Site at the Time of the Inspection. Safety Equipment Will Likewise Not Be Provided by the Owner. All Representatives Shall Complete a Release and Waiver of Liability in Order to Access the Site. Owner's Rights: the Village of Nelliston Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities in, or Reject Any or All Rfps, or to Make Any Contract Which It Deems to Be in the Best Interest of the Village of Nelliston or the Project Sponsors. Rfp Withdrawal: No Submitter May Withdraw Their Rfp Within Ninety (90) Days After Actual Opening Thereof. Project Duration: Contract Duration Will Be 280 Calendar Days From Notice of Award. The Submitter Shall Undertake Project Efforts and Required Correspondence in Earnest and With Diligence to Meet the Schedule and Maintain Progress Despite Adverse Seasonal Weather Conditions. Prevailing Wages: Prevailing Wage Provisions Will Apply. Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements: by Submission of a Rfp in Response to This Solicitation, the Respondent Agrees With All Terms and Conditions of the Contract for Participation by Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises. The Respondent Will Be Required to Submit a Minority and Woman-owned Business Enterprise and Equal Opportunity Policy Statement, Ocsd-1, to the Village With Its Rfp. Total Mwbe Goals (30%): the Submitter Agrees, in Addition to Any Other Nondiscrimination Provision of the Contract, and at No Additional Cost to the Village of Nelliston, to Fully Comply and Cooperate With the Implementation of New York State Executive Law Article 15-a and the Regulations Promulgated Thereunder. These Requirements Include Equal Employment Opportunities for Minority Group Members and Women ("eeo") and Contracting Opportunities for New York State Certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises ("mwbes"). Failure to Comply With All of the Requirements May Result in a Finding of Non-responsiveness, a Finding of Non-responsibility and/or a Breach of Contract, Withholding of Funds, Liquidated Damages and/or Enforcement Proceedings as Allowed by the Contract and Applicable Law. Other: All Contractors or Subcontractors Must Have Apprenticeship Agreements Appropriate for the Type and Scope of Work to Be Performed Which Have Been Registered With and Approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor. For the Purpose of Compliance With State Finance Law Sections 139-j, Contact With Edward Watt of the Village of Nelliston, is Considered Permissible. Contact Information is Provided Above. This is Not a Complete Presentation of the Provisions of the Procurement Requirements. Accept or Reject Any or All Responses Hereto; 5. Extend the Deadline for Submission of Responses Hereto; 6. Negotiate or Hold Discussions With Any Firm and to Correct Deficient Responses Which Do Not Conform to the Instructions Contained Herein; 7. Cancel, or Reissue in Whole or in Part, This Solicitation, if the Village of Nelliston Determines in Its Sole Discretion That It is Its Best Interest to Do So; and 8. Extend the Term of Any Agreement on Terms Consistent With This Procurement. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
