Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Pound Ridge, New York. Completed plans call for the addition of a 17,671-square-foot fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security made payable to Pound Ridge Fire District in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid Sum (the sum of the Base Bid plus all Add Alternates). The Bid Security shall be either a certified bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the State of New York on the form included herein (AIA Document A310). PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Project consists of performing Pound Ridge Fire Department - Fire Station Additions and Alterations for the Pound Ridge Fire District as shown on the Contract Drawings and described in the Specifications. 1. The scope of the Work of this project includes the following: a. Construction of two new two-story additions to the Fire Department building. One will house additional apparatus bays and mechanical rooms on the Ground Floor and additional apparatus bays and storage spaces on the First Floor. The second addition will house a kitchen and entrance vestibule on the Ground Floor and office spaces on the First Floor. b. Renovation work to limited areas of the existing building. c. HVAC upgrades, plumbing upgrades and electrical upgrades to the existing building. 2. The Work will be performed at the Pound Ridge Fire Department located at 80 Westchester Avenue, Pound Ridge, NY 10576. The successful bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond made payable to Pound Ridge Fire District, each in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price as security for the faithful performance of his Contract and for payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with the project. The value of each bond shall be adjusted during the Project construction period to reflect changes in the Contract Sum. All Bonds must meet or exceed the requirements set forth in the General Conditions. Provide such bonds simultaneously with the execution of the Contract. Bonding company and bond must be approved by the Owner. Only surities licensed to do business in the State of New York may be used.
