The City of Mount Vernon ("City") is seeking submittals from engineering firms interested in providing professional design services to the Public Works Department for a locally funded PS&E project: Division Street Sidewalk Retrofit. The successful firm will have experience in street and sidewalk facilities design, ADA requirements, and surveying. The City invites interested parties to respond to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) by submitting their qualifications relating to this project. Disadvantaged, minority and women-owned consultant firms are encouraged to respond. Upon consideration of the submittals, the City will negotiate final terms with the selected party. The project involves eight intersection locations on Division Street in Mount Vernon located between N 5th Street and South Laventure Road (eight intersection locations). The ADA ramps at these intersections were upgraded in 2021 and found to have one or more geometric deficiencies that the City has determined require redesign and correction.
