Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Defuniak Springs, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,000-square-foot, two-story above grade pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
The proposed building project is located at the corner of Sloss Ave and 6th street, DeFuniak Springs, in Walton County, Florida. The scope of the project will include the construction of a 4000 S.F. (main floor) and 3000 S.F. (2nd floor) pre-engineered metal building with a concrete block stem foundation engineered to withstand applicable wind loading and based on the sloping grade of the building site. The Contractor selected for award of this bid must be an insured, licensed General Contractor in accordance with Walton County Ordinance 2009-01, and must obtain a Walton County Building Permit subject to the requirements of Walton County Ordinance 2005-29. Attendance will be confirmed via roll call at no later than 5 minutes after the designated start time and any Bidder not present for the roll call will not be eligible to bid on the project. Last date to submit questions is October 16th, 2022, no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to be directed in writing to the Purchasing Manager at waljames@co.walton.fl.us. DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER AND ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. Questions received after such date and time will not be answered. Bidder is responsible for the delivery of its bid. Bids received after the specified day and time will not be opened. To be considered, Bidder must submit bid digitally on a USB THUMB DRIVE, along with ONE ORIGINAL PAPER BID, in a sealed envelope with " ITB 22-038 WALTON COUNTY RECORDS RETENTION BUILDING PHASE 2 " clearly marked on front of envelope, addressed to Central Purchasing at 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
