Lane County is soliciting construction services for a small-scale reconfiguration of approximately 7000 sq. ft of office space in the Public Service Building 2nd Floor North which will include new enclosed offices and accompanying electrical and HVAC modifications. The project will enclose or modify 5 private offices and enclose a meeting room, and includes delegated design modifications to fire sprinkler, fire alarm, mechanical, electrical and low voltage systems affected by the space modifications. Project Location: 125 E 8th Ave., Eugene, OR 97477 Briefly, the work of the project consists of enclosing 5 offices and a meeting room within the open office area. No paper sets of Bidding Documents will be issue; prospective bidders may print or have documents printed from the downloaded files. Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents will also be provided to plan rooms throughout the area.. Attendees are to meet with the County's representative at the 2nd Floor North corridor. Attendance at the Pre-bid meeting is mandatory for bidders, and all interested persons are invited to attend. Attendance is not mandatory for Mechanical and Electrical contractors providing delegated design services, but participation by these subcontractors is strongly encouraged. No bid will be received or considered from a bidder that did not have a bona fide representative in attendance at the Pre-bid meeting. Bids are required for the entire work described in the Bid Documents. Bids must be submitted via email with the words "Bid Attached: PSB 2nd Floor N Reconfiguration" in the email Subject line. Each bid must be submitted on the required forms and must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008, cashier's check, or certified check, payable to "Lane County" in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, including additive alternates if any. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in accordance with ORS 279C.380. To be considered, the bidder must be licensed by the Construction Contractors Board or the Landscape Contractors Board for the type of work proposed. Each bidder must have a public works bond on file with the Construction Contractors Board before starting work on the project unless exempt under ORS 279C.836. This project is for a public work subject to Oregon Prevailing Wage Rate Law. No proposal will be considered unless the proposal contains a statement by the proposer that the proposer will comply with the requirements of ORS 279C.800 to ORS 279C.875. The County may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures, requirements, rules, or laws, including the requirement to demonstrate the bidder's responsibility under ORS 279C.375(3)(b), and may reject for good cause any and all Bids upon the County's finding that it is in the public interest to do so.
