The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervisions, and other facilities necessary to perform the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work includes the following: 1. Remove and reconstruct the retaining wall/center planter located at the west side of the Edwardsville City Cemetery. 2. Provide needed maintenance (tuckpointing, stone replacement, mortar work, cap replacement) on two center pillars and connecting wall immediately east of retaining wall/center planter. 3. Provide minor maintenance (tuckpointing, stone replacement) on the columns of the gazebo at the center of the cemetery The City of Edwardsville, Kansas, reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, and to waive technicalities. Bids will be reviewed Wednesday, January 4, 2023 by the Edwardsville Cemetery, Parks, and Public Spaces (CPPS Board). Final review and award will be done by the Edwardsville City Council no sooner than Monday, January 9, 2023. Bids may be held by the City of Edwardsville, Kansas, for a period not to exceed fourteen (14) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purposes of reviewing and investigating the bidders' qualifications, prior to awarding the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid during this period. Contracts shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder in the opinion of the Edwardsville City Council based on the recommendation of professional City staff.
