As of January 19, 2023, project was awarded to Helms and Sons Excavating, awarded amount is $2,150,701.10. The proposed work consists of: Inter-section improvement for Monroe Street at Harroun Road and Kroger Drive in Sylvania, Ohio. Project will involve realigned intersection, signal upgrades and installing right outs at access drives on Monroe Street and eliminating a left turn lane into Toledo Memorial Park. The deposit will not be refunded. Copies may be examined at the a bove office. All bids shall be signed and submitted on the blanks whici are bound in the bidding documents. Bid blanks must be returned in the bound documents. The City of Sylvania reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid, to determine the lowest and best bidder, and to waive any informaIi-ties in bidding. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. .4. Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in this booklet. The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check,. cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the City of Sylvania in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded,. a Contract Bond will be required,. which is a 100% payment and performance bond. Upon acceptance of the work,. a one year maintenance bond in the amount of 25% of the contract will be required toguarantee such work. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The Engineers estimate for the cost of construction is $2,116,497.90.
