The proposed work consists of: Milling and resurfacing the top 2" of asphalt concrete including partial depth pave- ment repair work in the Tantallon Plat I and Plat II Subdivision. The roadways. scheduled to be resurfaced include Burrwood Drive, Dunhill Drive (Centen- nial Farms to Peppermill Drive), Gren- lock Drive (Burrwood Drive to Highland Elementary), Marshwood Drive, Pepper- mill Drive, Saltwood Court, Shaftesbury Drive, Therfield Drive, and Towbridge Court. The total length of resurfacing is over 6,100 feet. All bids shall be signed and submitted on the blanks which are bound in the bidding documents. Bid blanks must be returned in the bound documents. Bids shall state the unit prices on the blanks provided therefore; shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked "BID FOR TANTALLON PLAT I & PLAT II RESURFAC- ING". Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time will neither be read nor considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. The City of Sylva- nia reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid, to determine the lowest and best bidder, and to waive any informalities in bidding. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in this booklet. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the City of Sylvania in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. Upon acceptance of the work, a one year maintenance bond in the amount of 25% of the contract will be required. to guarantee such work. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days. after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
