The project consists of resurfacing of 113 Road from Comanche Street north 1 mile to US-50 Highway. Ford County shall provide all of the funds required for this project. All Federal, State and County regulations must be complied with. Bids will be presented to the Ford County Commissioners at their meet-ing in the Ford County Court-house Commission room at 3:30 p.m. local time November 7, 2022. All Bidders are to be prequal-ified with the Kansas Depart-ment of Transportation, as outlined in Section 102 of the KDOT Standard Specifica-tions. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified or Cashiers check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Checks or bonds are to be made pay-able to Ford County and serve as a guarantee of the sincerity and integrity of the bidder, and shall be forfeited to the Coun-ty if said proposal or bid is ac-cepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required statutory and per-formance bonds as required in the contract documents. Work will commence no soon-er than March 6, 2023 (earliest start date) and no later than August 28, 2023 (late start date). All work shall be com-pleted within 40 working days after the Notice to Proceed.
