Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Athens, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 110,623-square-foot educational facility; for the construction of a 219,939-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This project will consist of approximately 219,939 square feet of new multi-story construction, also includes phased demolition of the existing building (110,623 sf), site work, soccer field, greenhouse and small animal barn and is anticipated to start construction in January 2023. The proposed budget is $60,000,000. As of August 17, 2023, construction is underway and expected to be complete for Phase 1: Fall 2024 and Phase 2: Early 2025. • Phase 1 Clearing and Grubbing activities complete • Excavation for building pad and retaining walls is complete • Phase 1 Footing installation is complete for the 3 story structure • Phase 1 underground plumbing is complete • Phase 1 underground electrical is complete • Phase 1 slab 100% poured • Modular units delivered to the site for August 2023 occupancy
