For: FMAP 2022 Concrete Block Wall Work Order Number 2022-001 Levee District No. 1 of Sutter County The Work performed under this Contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, incidentals, and supervision for: Placement of 2 x 2 x 6 concrete blocks along the toe of the levee, adjusting the existing concrete blocks, installing new pipe gates, and pipe fences. Estimated construction cost: $400,000 to $500,000 Base Bid contractors california license and/or class required: General engineering contractor (A license). Award of this contract requires the bidder to have a valid California Contractors License with the classifications identified above. Award of this contract also requires the bidder to demonstrate qualifications to perform the required work based upon having successfully installed storm drain pipelines and facilities having similar materials with the physical properties, lengths, and depths required for this project. Each Bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided herein. Bids are required for the entirety of the work described herein. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashiers check payable to LD1S, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to LD1S, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the original Total Contract Price. LD1S encourages the submission of bids and sub-bids by minority-owned and woman-owned business enterprises. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 . It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Pursuant to California Contract Code Section 22300, the contractor may, at its own expense, substitute securities for any money being withheld by LD1S to ensure performance under this contract.
