Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in New Paris, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work for which proposals are invited consists of all materials, labor, and equipment to remove the existing simple concrete slab bridge and replace it with a precast box culvert with cast-in-place headwalls and wingwalls. The project will include new guardrail as well as rock channel protection of the stream with seeding and mulching for revegetation of disturbed areas. The approaches to the bridge will be reconstructed and the Street repaved for a smooth driving surface. The Owner and/or Engineer will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Engineer. Proposals will only be accepted from bidders who have purchased the Contract Documents from Mote & Associates, Inc. and are registered as a planholder. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on the projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The Owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than November 30, 2023. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Preble County as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614-644-2239. The Village of New Paris reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom in their consideration offered the lowest and best proposal.
