Site work for a water / sewer project in Merritt, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Regional Water Management group of the Ministry of Forests maintain and operate Nicola Lake Dam which is located approximately at the south end of Nicola Lake, approximately 10 kilometers north of the City of Merritt. In 2018, the Ministry commissioned a Dam Safety Review to assess the overall safety and operation of the structure. One of the recommendations in the review was that a retaining wall located adjacent to the main flow control gate structure was cracked and did not meet the required factor of safety.
