Final Date to Submit Questions November 3, 2022 The Utility is proposing a 3.0 MGD expansion to the existing 2.0 MGD WWTP, bringing the total capacity to 5.0 MGD. The new WWTP facilities shall include all necessary processes to provide high quality effluent water, meeting wastewater treatment standards and all regulations set forth by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). Currently this project will be funded by municipal bonds and SCIIP funds, however there is potential for additional funding sources that will have specific material and labor requirements. The proposed project includes the following general scope of work: Influent pump station (Coarse Screening and new submersible pump station) Headworks (Rotary Drum Screens and Vortex Grit) Biological process (New process basins utilizing an A2O design) Secondary Clarifier demolition, construction, and rehabilitation RAS/WAS Pumping Upgrades Additional tertiary filter installation UV capacity expansion Aerobic digester construction and rehabilitation Drying bed rehabilitation All other ancillary work required for a fully functional facility
