The work, officially known as "Elevated Water Storage Tank", consists of the construction of a new 1-million-gallon Composite Elevated Storage Tank, water supply main, a new emergency power system and all associated appurtenances. WAGE RATES: Contractors are not required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. OTHER PROVISIONS: The Contract letting shall be subject to the applicable provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes, Section 66.0901, 66.0903, 779.15. In connection with the performance of work under this contract, the Contractor agrees not to discriminate against any employees or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, handicap, sex, physical condition, developmental disability, or national origin. This provision shall include, but not be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff and termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; selection for training, including apprenticeship. The Contractor further agrees to post in conspicuous places, available for employees and applicants for employment, notices setting forth the provisions of this non-discrimination clause. BID SECURITY: Bids shall be accompanied by a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond on the prescribed form payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the Total Base Bid as guarantee, that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Agreement, Performance and Payment Bonds, and Insurance Certifications, as required by the Contract Documents, within 15 days after the Notice of Award. BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serve the interests of Owner. BID WITHDRAWAL: No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the scheduled opening of the Bids without the consent of the Owner.
