Provide a new fire alarm system for the correctional facility. The scope of work includes, but it's not limited to, the provision of a new system and devices, as well as the demolition of the existing system and its associated devices, wires, and equipment in all buildings. Conduits may be reused if recessed in walls but shall be replaced in exposed areas or as required. If any underground work is required, the contractor shall provide a GPR report before commencing any work. LEIN CHECK (Dept. of Corrections ONLY) All contractor/vendor representatives attending a Pre-Bid Walk Through Meeting must submit a Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request five business days prior to the meeting date, (See the attached Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request form). The email "Subject" must include (Facility Name, Project Name, Date & Time of Pre-Bid Walk Through Meeting). An individual is only permitted to represent one bidder at a mandatory walk-through. 5% Bid Security: Required 1. This applies in all State owned and leased facilities throughout the State of Michigan, including all common areas such as areas where individuals are waiting to enter a facility, cubicles, offices, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways. 2. Provide all labor and materials to necessary to power the PLTs hardwired, blue lights for the hard-of-hearing group - per PREA requirements, and new speakers to be connected to the PPD system.
