Renovation of a detention facility in Lapeer, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Provide a new fire alarm system for the Thumb Correctional Facility. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the provision of a new system and devices, as well as the demolition of the existing system and its associated devices, wires, and equipment in all buildings. Conduits may be reused if recessed in walls but shall be replaced in exposed areas or as required. If any underground work is required, the contractor shall provide a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) report before commencing any work. Please notify the Office of Design and Construction (DCD) if you are having SIGMA VSS issues. Include your SIGMA ticket number in an email to our contract specialists, Anne Watros (watrosa@michigan.gov) and Don Klein (kleind4@michigan.gov ). You may be asked to email your bid package. Emailed submissions require DCD approval and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Approved emailed submissions MUST be received prior to the 2:00 p.m. deadline to be considered responsive and responsible Accepting Questions Until: Wednesday, July 27, 2022, by 5:00 P.m. Eastern Time
