The City of Benwood (herein referred to as the "City") is requesting Qualification Proposals from interested parties for Engineering Services, as it relates to the design and preparation of contract documents including construction plans and specifications indicating the scope, extent and nature of the work to be performed and furnished by the Contractor. The Contractor will be responsible for clearing all vegetation growing across the entire waterside levee, replace missing Rip Rap and repairing any voids between the 400-800 block of Water Street, Benwood, WV 26031. The Benwood City Council (and/or its designated representatives) will be evaluating submissions to this request and will ultimately select a firm judged to be both responsible and responsive to the request in every way. The City will be following the State of West Virginia 5-G Procurement Process. The City intends to ultimately interview some or all of the prospective Firms to discuss their Qualifications and Proposal, which may include anticipated concepts and proposed methods of approach to the project. The submission shall include past project experience of the Firm, design team member qualifications, and performance on similar projects with references. After ranking by the Committee, no less than three Firms deemed to be the most highly qualified will be invited for an interview process. Firms will be ranked again, and then asked to provide fees and rates for the scope of work based on the order. The format for submittals is listed below. Five (5) copies of submittals of Qualifications from interested businesses should be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope marked "Request for Qualifications for Engineering Services" along with a copy of Property Liability Insurance.
