Replace Fire Alarm System The vendor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to replace the existing fire alarm system with a new campus-wide fire alarm system in accordance with the plans and specifications provided. The new system must be nonproprietary, meaning the manufacturer allows fair and open competition between vendors selling the fire alarm devices. The manufacturer of the new system must provide certified maintenance and repair training for two of the VA s maintenance personnel to keep most of the system maintenance in-house. Work must be completed within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed. This project is designed to replace the out-of-date fire alarm system at VA-Fort Wayne, IN, where replacement parts are no longer available. The VA s goal is to obtain fair and reasonable pricing. Therefore, we are soliciting Full and Open with socio-economic groups to determine how to fulfill VANIHCS's needs. We must know your firm's interest in assisting VANIHCS in accurately determining.
