NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT SOLANO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, will receive bids in accordance to Notice to Bidders for the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, and services necessary for completion of the Claybank Security Fence - Easement Improvement. Project Location- 2500 Clay Bank Rd Fairfield, CA 94533 The Contractor agrees that the Work will be substantially completed in 156 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall pay as liquidated damages of $2,000/calendar day should the Contractor fail to complete the work within the time limit, unless Contractor is granted time extension. A bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the bid is required. Within five (5) calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, the successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount. County further reserves the right to reject all bids and cancel the solicitation at their sole discretion. General Scope of Work: The Project includes grubbing 18,000 square feet of weeds and natural growth, haul off weeds and natural growth. Grade 2 percent from chain link fence to CMU (concrete masonry unit) wall. Grade 2 percent to drain East and Northwest from highest peak (crown). Contractor to compact dirt to 90% compaction. Contractor to provide 18,000 square feet of pre-emergent and provide a water buffalo tank to spray water over the pre-emergent herbicide to activate. Provide 18,000 square feet of fabric stabilizer underlayment weed fabric and 4 inch by 18,000 square feet of 3/4 agg base rock compacted to 90 percent compaction. Contractor to provide 12 inch by 12 inch traffic rated pre-cast concrete drain inlet and provide 20 inch deep by 250 linear feet of French drain to connect to existing drain inlet. Contractor to relocate temporary farm fencing to County Animal Care. Provide 4 steel trench plates with crush rock for truck access and protection of existing drain inlet. Contractor to provide new 14-foot wide double gate to match existing. Contractor demo existing 20-foot long chain link fence and gate for access and provide new 20-foot long chain link fence and gate to match existing.
