Qualified contractors to sell and to install an Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) System & Meters for Water Utilities. The Village of Mooringsport will obtain and have installed a system which provides the best long-term value over the system's lifetime. A proposer should be a licensed or certified distributor for a single proprietary brand of the different components of the system (one manufacturer if possible) including the endpoints, water meters, meter reading equipment and meter software. ARPA funding is expected to be used to complete this purchase and installation and the Village will follow all applicable Federal requirements as well as State of Louisiana requirements, which includes: outreach to women and minority owned contractors; extending the bid deadline if necessary to receive an adequate number of proposals; bid security; adequate insurance; specific contract provisions; and other requirements outlined in the bid documents.
