Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Mooringsport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

This work consists of providing all materials, labor and equipment required for the construction of a three-span precast concrete slab span bridge including, but not limited to, asphaltic concrete pavement, subgrade preparation, Class II base course construction, excavation, embankment and related work as described in the Contract Documents. PROJECT CLASSIFICATION: Highway, Street and Bridge Construction All Bids must be accompanied by Bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base Bid and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond written by a qualified, licensed company in conformance with the laws of the State of Louisiana. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance, Maintenance and Payment Bond on a form provided by the Parish and written in accordance with state law. The work shall be completed within 45 work days. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The Owner and the Contractor agree that the Contractor shall pay the Owner the sum of $1,000.00 as liquidated damages for each work day in excess of the Contract Time. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bid Documents. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will bebinding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The Parish of Caddo reserves the right to reject any and all Bids for just cause and to waive any informalities and technicalities. The Parish of Caddo shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
